Venice Photography Workshop 2026

  • Al Theatro Palace Campiello Marinoni o de la Fenice, 1925a 30124 Venezia VE Italy (map)

This workshop is about your growth and your images. Many photo tours emphasize being at the right location at the right time — but then the instructors often focus on taking their own shots. Our philosophy is different. We’re there to guide you personally. Photo: Terje Svendsen.

Venice in spring is a visual feast: soft dawn light drifting across quiet canals, gondolas rocking gently on the lagoon, and a maze of narrow alleys where daily life unfolds in ways that feel timeless. This workshop blends Venice’s iconic views with street photography opportunities that let you capture the city as it truly lives — in motion, in color, and in atmosphere. [Venice, May 7–12, 2026]

What makes this workshop different is our commitment to you. We don’t just guide you to the right locations and then focus on our own cameras. Our energy goes into helping you — through one-to-one coaching in the field, hands-on demonstrations, and personal feedback.

Our goal is that you return home not just with memories of Venice, but with images you’re truly proud of.

Across six immersive days, we’ll photograph sunrise and sunset at world-famous locations such as Piazza San Marco, Rialto Bridge, and San Giorgio Maggiore, while also exploring quieter sestieri where Venetians shop, work, and gather. You’ll learn how to refine compositions in complex environments, work with shifting coastal light, and anticipate authentic street moments.

After the trip, we’ll reconnect online for two post-processing sessions to help polish your strongest images..

Instructors and workshop leaders: Terje Svendsen and Bjørn Joachimsen.
