Vienna, also described as the cultural capital of Europe, is a metropolis with unique charm, life, and flair. During this workshop, we will explore all kinds of photographic opportunities both in Leopoldstadt with its medieval architecture and city life, and in contemporary architecture and business life in Donau City. Vienna offers great contrasts and therefore exciting photo challenges. I will take you to many of the most exciting places in the city and inspire creative photographic exploration all the way.

The purpose of the workshop is to create an environment for developing your photography skills, which will be useful when photographing during travels—whether it's nature, people, or architecture.

The value of a workshop also lies in the community—photographing together and getting to know other photography enthusiasts. A workshop is a learning and inspiration community with unique qualities for those who want to develop their photography skills. In this workshop, you'll work in a small group—maximum 8 participants—ensuring close follow-up throughout. We emphasize professional development, mutual inspiration, and a pleasant social environment. Each evening, we gather for dinner and conversation at one of the many good restaurants in Vienna Innere Stadt.

During the workshop, we will work on night photography, which always presents a certain challenge for photographers. Although darkness is demanding, there is always plenty of exciting light to take advantage of. I will share all my knowledge on how we can create successful photographs after dark and how we can find light that can set fascinating moods.

During the workshop, I will also teach how I work with street photography, which involves capturing images of people in the urban landscape. How to observe, position yourself, and capture the crucial moments? How to establish contact with strangers to gain acceptance for taking portraits? These are some of the challenges we will work on. Furthermore, we will also spend time photographing medieval architecture, as well as the most modern architecture that Vienna (and Europe) has to offer.

We will make good use of our time in Vienna and be out with our cameras from early until late. In between, we will enjoy good dinners and lunch meals that the city has to offer. Through the workshop community, we will inspire each other as well as learn technical skills and delve into composition.
