This workshop is about your growth and your images. Many photo tours emphasize being at the right location at the right time — but then the instructors often focus on taking their own shots. Our philosophy is different. We’re there to guide you personally. Photo: Terje Svendsen.
Venice in November has a mood like nowhere else: soft mist over the canals, empty morning streets, reflective pavements after light rain, and a calmness that simply doesn’t exist in the high season. The crowds are gone, the atmosphere is intimate, and the city reveals a quieter, more authentic side. This workshop lets you experience and photograph Venice at its most atmospheric — with golden low-angle light, rich autumn colours, and plenty of space to work. [Venice, November 6–11, 2026]
What makes this workshop different is our commitment to you. We don’t just guide you to the right locations and then focus on our own cameras. Our energy goes into helping you — through one-to-one coaching in the field, hands-on demonstrations, and personal feedback.
Our goal is that you return home not just with memories of Venice, but with images you’re truly proud of.
Across six immersive days, we’ll photograph sunrise and sunset at world-famous locations such as Piazza San Marco, Rialto Bridge, and San Giorgio Maggiore, while also exploring quieter sestieri where Venetians shop, work, and gather. You’ll learn how to refine compositions in complex environments, work with shifting coastal light, and anticipate authentic street moments.
After the trip, we’ll reconnect online for two post-processing sessions to help polish your strongest images..
Instructors and workshop leaders: Terje Svendsen and Bjørn Joachimsen.
With a small-group format (maximum six participants per instructor), you’ll receive close personal attention and one-to-one coaching every day. The aim is for every participant to return home with portfolio-worthy photographs and new confidence in their skills. Photo: Terje Svendsen.
